RATO R
The highly flexible RATO R coupling from VULKAN was developed for drive systems which require a high degree of torsional flexibility and good misalignment characteristics.
When the RATO R was developed as a complement to the RATO S coupling, the developers paid great attention to ensuring a high degree of thermal safety and good dynamic running characteristics at low rotating masses.
The main applications of the RATO R are diesel or electric motor driven machines, which are equipped with a fast running main and auxiliary drive.

Various torsional stiffnesses and element designs ensure very good torsional vibration tuning – and thus maximum availability of the drive system.
Soft circular ring diaphragms offer effective protection of the shaft bearings in axial vibration decoupling.
