The GE-couplings from STROMAG have been developed for piston engines and electric drives. With the GEF design, the coupling can be flange-mounted directly to the flywheel of a diesel engine or with the GEW design, two shafts or flanges can be connected together. All metal parts are made of robust steel or GGG. The rubber elements of the coupling are mounted radially and connected to the coupling parts by cylindrical pins. The transmitted torque generates a tensile stress that is absorbed by vulcanised nylon fabric inserts. This ensures smooth operation and reduces rotating radial forces thanks to the optimum selection of rubber elements.
