Contrairement \u00e0 un palier radial, l&rsquo;angle de contact d&rsquo;un palier de but\u00e9e est augment\u00e9 \u00e0 90 degr\u00e9s, ce qui a pour cons\u00e9quence que seules des charges axiales, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire des forces en direction de l&rsquo;axe ou de l&rsquo;arbre, sont g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9es.
