This highly elastic, homokinetic drive shaft was developed for the optimum connection of gearboxes and propeller shafts. Perfectly suited for applications with large angular deviations.
The CENTAFLEX – ACV designs the torque transmission via a double cardanic drive shaft with integrated CV joint on one side and a highly elastic rubber element on the other. The propeller thrust is transmitted to the hull via a self-aligning thrust bearing. This shaft coupling is specially designed to reduce noise and vibration and damp torsional vibrations, shocks and structure-borne noise. The CENTAXFLEX – ACV tolerates angle deviations of 8 or 3 degrees and convinces with a high degree of electrical insulation.
This product can be mounted with very little effort using the clamping hub. The product is supplied in a largely assembled (ready-to-install) condition and includes an integrated anti-rotation device.
