Periflex® VN

The PERIFLEX® VN disc coupling from STROMAG is a highly flexible, torsionally flexible coupling with a linear characteristic curve that has been specially developed for diesel engines. Thanks to the simple flange connection to flywheels and the axial plug-in design between a flywheel flange and a flexible element, the PERIFLEX® VN coupling enables quick and easy assembly and disassembly and therefore considerable service benefits.

The PERIFLEX® VN coupling is available with a fail-safe device. In the event of a crack in the flexible element, the integrated claws interlock and form a torsionally rigid, backlash-free connection that enables temporary emergency operation with limited torque. Different elastomer qualities and torsional spring stiffnesses allow precise configurations for drives susceptible to torsional vibrations in various fields of application.
